This was the foundation of the Xbox Store, which existed for many years and used Microsoft Points to buy digital goods such as DLC. BioWare was one such company for a while, and some DLC content depended on certain marketplaces. Today, however, BioWare announced that it is discontinuing “BioWare points” and DLC content which could only be obtained via them, will now be free. 463i2r
EA and BioWare have sent emails to s informing them that BioWare points will be removed from Origin’s store on October 11. Some DLC for games such as Dragon Age II and Dragon Age Origins will no longer be available on the Origin store. There were once big story DLCs such as Mass Effect 2’s Lair of the Shadow Broker or Mass Effect 3’s Citadel. However, these DLC have been made available only through bundles on Origin. However, Mass Effect 3’smultiplayer packs won’t be available to buy through in-game currency. BioWare points will not be available for purchase.
