Minecraft Officially Ends for Virtual Reality Gameplay 69432z
Mojang has officially ended for virtual and mixed reality gameplay in *Minecraft*, as confirmed in the latest Bedrock Edition 1.21.80 update. 6p3x23
This marks the end of a long-standing feature that allowed players to experience the game in VR using platforms like SteamVR, Oculus Rift, and previously, PlayStation VR. The decision to phase out VR was announced in October 2024, with a planned end date in Spring 2025. While the removal was initially expected in March, players had access to VR for a few extra weeks.
The update also introduced Flat World presets for cleaner builds and brought several bug fixes and gameplay improvements, including audio and block enhancements.
Although some fans are disappointed by the loss of VR —citing it as one of the most immersive ways to experience the game—others itted they weren’t even aware the feature existed.
Despite the change, Mojang continues to evolve *Minecraft*, with recent experiments allowing leads to connect mobs and tether them to boats, expanding creative possibilities for players.
