Marvel Rivals Unveils Namor’s Retro X-Uniform Skin, New Event Launches May 15 64625h
NetEase Games has revealed the new Retro X-Uniform skin for Namor in Marvel Rivals, giving fans a first look at the classic-inspired cosmetic ahead of its official release on May 15 at 7 PM PDT. r3743
The skin features Namor in a blue-and-yellow X-Men-style outfit with black accents, blending his traditional armor with the iconic team design. The Retro X-Uniform will be available in the in-game shop for 1,600 Units.
Alongside the skin’s debut, Marvel Rivals will kick off its Galacta’s Gift event, celebrating the one-year anniversary of the Closed Alpha. Players can earn free rewards including Chrono Shield Cards, sprays, nameplates, and a Costume Coin that unlocks any of the game’s original 33 skins.
Namor isn’t the only character receiving a makeover. The Punisher will also get a new “Dangan Ronin” costume designed by artist Peach Momoko, featuring purple Japanese-inspired armor and revamped visuals for weapons and abilities. The skin will be priced at 2,200 Units and arrives at the same time.
NetEase also clarified that Chrono Shield Cards—new items that prevent rank point loss after defeats—will only be available to players ranked Gold or lower and won’t require real-money purchases.
With new skins, events, and balance-focused updates, excitement is growing around the future of Marvel Rivals.
