Madden NFL 08 is a Sports video game developed and published by Electronic Arts (EA). Running at 60 frames per second on Xbox 360 and 30 on PlayStation 3, Madden 08 features dynamic gameplay for the first time ever in its franchise through a branching animation system providing dynamic gameplay experience.
Players no longer depend on static animations for control, instead being more in charge. Features of this new animation system include mid-air collisions, big-time one-handed catches, hurdles sideline catches and gang tackling. Madden 08 brings back several features for online play; including Season Mode and tournaments hosted online, Hit Stick 2.0 allows players to hit high or low by flicking an analog stick up or down, and an updated feature called Virtual Boxing which enables virtual boxing opponents.
An improved fatigue system has been implemented, disallowing s from employing scrambling quarterbacks who run behind the line of scrimmage for long gains and increase fatigue levels during early months of season games against teams with cold climate. Another welcome return in this year’s installment was co-op play, a feature often neglected since moving onto new-generation consoles.
